MEMBERSHIP, FEES AND DUES

I. MEMBERSHIPS

PRISAA accreditation is by individual school membership. Only duly accredited PRISAA Member-schools are eligible to participate in PRISAA Competitions and authorized to collect PRISAA Fees from students.

A. Membership Requirements

  1. PRISAA Membership is by individual school application as recommended by the Provincial/City Chapter President, approved by the Regional Association President and for confirmation by the National Chairman.
  2. The applicant education institution must be duly recognized or authorized by CHED to operate.
  3. A PRISAA Member-school must participate in recognized PRISAA Competitions in the Provincial/City Level based on student enrolment. (Appendix “C”)
  4. A PRISAA Member-school declared as Champion in recognized PRISAA Competitions in the Provincial/City Level must participate in the PRISAA Regional Collegiate Games.
  5. A PRISAA Member-school declared as Champion in recognized PRISAA Competitions in the Regional Level must participate in the PRISAA National Collegiate Games.
  6. In the PRISAA National Collegiate Games, the participating regions must compete in all the required sports/events and in the “Mutya ng PRISAA” and Vocal Solo competitions.

B. Application for Membership

  1. Application for Membership shall be made in writing using the prescribed PRISAA Membership Application form. (Appendix “A”)
  2. The application form together with the membership fee and necessary supporting documents shall be submitted to the Provincial/City Chapter President who recommends approval of the application to the Regional Association President.
  3. The Regional Association President approves the application for membership and forwards the same together with the membership fee and all the necessary supporting documents to the National Chairman for confirmation.
  4. The National Chairman, upon confirmation of the Application for Membership, shall inform the Applicant Member-school in writing and award a corresponding Certificate of Membership through the National Secretariat. (Appendix “B”)

C. Member-School’s Benefits and Privileges

  1. Authority to collect PRISAA Fees from students every semester as authorized by CHED;
  2. Eligibility to participate in all PRISAA recognized sports competitions including the “Mutya ng PRISAA” and Vocal Solo Competitions;
  3. Eligibility to participate in all PRISAA sponsored seminars, workshops and sports training programs for coaches, trainers and athletes;
  4. Privilege to be elected as PRISAA Officer in the Provincial/City, Regional and/or National Levels;
  1. Privilege to establish networks and linkages with other PRISAA Member-schools and Affiliates;
  2. Privilege of maximum media exposure through participation in recognized PRISAA competitions and other activities;
  3. Certificate of Membership;
  4. Certificate of Participation in recognized PRISAA competitions.

II. FEES AND DUES

A. Membership Fee

A one-time membership fee in the amount of five thousand pesos (P5,000.00) payable to PRISAA National shall be paid upon filing of the Application for Membership.

B. Annual Dues

An annual dues of two thousand five hundred pesos (P2,500.00) for renewal of membership shall be paid in July of every school year to the PRISAA National through the Regional Association concerned.

C. Pro-rata Sharing Scheme

The Pro-rata Sharing Scheme on PRISAA fees collected from students by the Member-schools shall be as follows:

1. Contribution to PRISAA National………….10% of total PRISAA fees collected for the academic year

2. Contribution to PRISAA Regional

3. Contribution to PRISAA Provincial/City….

4. Member-School’s Share

III. REMITTANCE PROCEDURE

discretionary on the part of the Regional Association based on the Regions’ needs

A. Remittance of Annual Dues and Pro-rata Contributions due to the PRISAA National Association

The annual dues and 10% pro-rata contribution to the PRISAA National Association must be remitted by the President of PRISAA Member-schools through their PRISAA Regional Association on or before July 31 for the first semester and on or before December 15 for the second semester.

B. Remittance of Pro-rata Contributions due to the PRISAA Regional Associations

The pro-rata contributions due to the PRISAA Regional Associations must be remitted by the President of PRISAA Member- schools to their PRISAA Regional Association concerned on or before July 31 for the first semester and on or before December 15 for the They too second semester.

Note: Transmittal of funds to PRISAA Regional Association or PRISAA National Association shall be in the form of check or money order payable to PRISAA Regional Association or PRISAA National Association, as the case may be.

IV. TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP

The grounds for termination of PRISAA Membership are as follows:

A. Non-Payment of Annual Dues, Pro-rata Contributions and Other Assessments

B. Non-Participation in PRISAA Competitions and Sponsored Activities

Note: A PRISAA Member-school may file an official leave of absence for a maximum period of two (2) years. During the leave of absence, Member-school is not required to pay annual dues and pro-rata contributions. However, Member-school is not allowed to collect PRISAA fees from students during the leave of absence.
