I. DATE AND VENUE

The PRISAA National Games Badminton Tournament will be held at a schedule and venue determined by the National PRISAA Board.

II. ORGANIZATION The Technical Committee/Tournament Director shall be responsible for the technical organization of the tournament. The decisions of the committee in all matters regarding the tournament shall be final. Team Tie Competition (M/W).

III. RULESIV. TOURNAMENT FORMAT 1. Team Tie Competition (M/W)Participating teams shall be divided into groups (depending on the number of participating regions), 12-17 teams (M/W), 4 groups, top ranked team in each group will play in a cross-over semi-finals (G1 vs G4, G2 vs G3), winners will play for the finals and losers for 3rd place. Each group will play a single round robin system. Best of three team ties2. Individual Competition (M/W)

Men’s Singles       –    2 entries/region

Women’s Singles –    2 entries/region

Men’s Doubles     –    1 entry/region

Women’s Double –   1 entry/region

Mixed Doubles     –   1 entry/region

V. TEAM COMPOSITION, FIELDING OF PLAYERS AND EVENTS

A team must have a minimum of four (4) and maximum of five (5) players, (mandatory fielding of four (4) players per team tie is required) Each tie shall consist of two (2) singles and one (1) doubles The order of play shall be as follows: Singles-Doubles-Singles (SDS)5th Fifteen (15) minutes, before the commencement of play of each tie, the coach shall submit the composition of his/her team to the match control. No substitution shall be allowed under any circumstances after the tie has commenced. In case a team/s fails to submit its fielding form on time, Tournament Director will use the team’s strategy in the previous round.

VI. SCORING The BWF scoring system of 1-21 points, best-of-three games shall be implemented in the PRISAA National Games Badminton Tournament.

VII. WALK-OVERSA ten (10) minutes grace period on the scheduled ties/matches shall be given, otherwise, the team/player shall be declared loser via walk-over.

As per PRISAA Handbook on rules on eligibility.

X. TEAM/COMPETITION UNIFORM

Participants must wear their team/school color or must be at a prescribed badminton uniform,. In doubles, players are advised to wear the same color/shade of clothing during play.

XI. RANKING ORDER/BREAKING OF TIES (GROUPINGS)

Tie involving two (2) teams – the principle of win-over the other shall apply

Multiple ties:

Level 1 – Match won    vs   Match lost
Level 2 – Games won  vs  Games lost
Level 3 – Points won   vs     Points lost
Level 4 – Draw lots

XII. INDEMNITY

The organizing committee and its appointed officials shall not be held responsible for any injuries or mishap that may occur during the competition or as a result of participation in the tournament.

XIII. UNFORSEEN EVENT

The decision of the referee/s on any disputes during the competition shall be final. The on-going tie’s/matches will be impossible to continue, such ties/matches shall be continued later from the point where it was disrupted.

XIV. OTHERS

Seeding and draw lots will be discussed and done during the Technical Meeting of coaches as scheduled by the PRISAA National Organizers. Seeding will be based on the previous PRISAA National Games. Failure to attend the said meeting, coach/representative has waived his/her rights to question the tournament proceedings/technical guidelines.
