DANCE COMPETITION
Contest Mechanics and Criteria
- This competition is open to all high school students (youth division) only.
- The dance entry should focus on the theme:
BONGGAHAN AT SAYAWAN!
A Revisit to the Era of Pinoy Disco Dancing
- Each group shall present a dance medley of popular dances in Philippines during the 70s and 80s. Music can be re-mixed to match the dance moves.
- The group must be composed of 7 members only. The composition may be all male/all female or a combination of both.
- The group is given 5 as the minimum and 7 as the maximum number of minutes for the presentation, inclusive of the entrance and the exit.
- Dance steps and costumes must reflect the theme.
- The use of fireworks, smoke machine, confetti, backdrops and other props such as animals, human and stand props are not allowed. However, minimal hand props are allowed.
- Violation of the rules shall be meted with disqualification.
- The Top 3 winners shall perform as intermission numbers in the Mutya ng PRISAA Coronation Night.
- The contestants must attend all rehearsals and other functions duly assigned by the National
