II. SENIOR POOMSAE (FORMS)

Contestants in the Poomsae (Forms) Event shall be taken from the contestants in the Kyorugi (Sparring) event.

1. Individual Poomsae Event
One (1) contestant selected from Finweight to Heavyweight in the sparring competition both from men and women.
2. Team Poomsae Event
Three (3) contestants selected from Fin weight to Heavyweight of the sparring competition.
3. Mixed-Pair
One contestant from men and one from women from Fin weight to Heavyweight of the Sparring Competition.

REQUIRED POOMSAE TO BE PERFORMED:

ELIMINATION     –     TAEGEUK 7
SEMI-FINAL        –     TAEGEUK 8
FINAL                  –      KORYO

1. GENERAL RULES

1.1 The competition shall be held in accordance with rules of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).

1.2 Cases of general nature will be resolved in accordance with the Constitution and by the Rules of Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA). Technical questions will be resolved in accordance with rules of PTA.

2. SPECIFIC RULES

2.1 ELIGIBILITY

All participants must be eligible to play in accordance with the eligibility rules of PRISAA National Games

3. METHOD OF COMPETITION

3.1 The competition shall be individual, single elimination.
3.2 Each school may enter only one (1) player in each of the 8 men’s and 8 women’s weight categories, as follows:

All Matches from eliminations to finals shall be two (2) rounds of two (2) minutes

3.4 Weigh-in shall be conducted one day prior to the competition. A preliminary weigh-in shall be allowed before the official and final weigh-in.
3.5 Only one coach per player shall be allowed in the coach’s chair during the Matches.
3.6 For protests on matters regarding eligibility, the PRISAA NATIONAL GAMES guidelines on protests will be followed.

4. GENERAL PROVISIONS

4.1 The PTA competition codes of conduct shall be strictly enforced.
4.2 For all matters not provided for in these ground rules, the WTF competition rules and interpretation shall apply. For all
matters the PRISAA NATIONAL GAMES Guidelines/ Rules and Regulations will be followed.

5. UNIFORMS

5.1 The contestants shall use only the approved Taekwondo uniform (dubok) with the PTA or WTF approved seal.

NOTE: Use of the “PHILIPPINES” print on the uniform is reserved for members of the National Taekwondo Team and
for those who have represented the country in international competitions. Otherwise, such usage is strictly prohibited.

5.2 Only brands approved by the PTA and or WTF shall be approved for use. The Contestants shall provide their own
competition equipment (head protector, body protector, arm/shin guards, groin guard, mouth guard and hand gloves).
5.3 The use of the mouth guard, groin guard and hand gloves shall be required.
5.4 Coaches shall wear the proper attire during the competitions. No Slippers, caps, sleeveless shirt will be allowed.
5.5 Only National Referees who have passed the course for the current rules shall serve during the competition. They shall serve full time.

6 AWARDS

The following medal shall be awarded for each weight category

First place : Gold Medal
Second place : Silver Medal
Third place (2): Bronze Medal
