Weightlifting
A. COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS
The PRISAA National Games Weightlifting Event will be conducted in accordance with the latest International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Technical Handbook; However, Ground Rule will be adopted to suit the local situations that are not covered by the IWF Technical Rules and are not applicable in the Competition Site and Venue.
B. VENUE
1. Competition Site
The competition site will be designated by the Tournament Director in-coordination with the Host Region and approval of the National Executive Director.
2. Training Site or Venue
The training site or venue for the purpose of familiarization will be at the Venue where the competition site will be held.
C. DATE OF COMPETITION
2. The date of competition will be scheduled by the host and shall be approved by the PRISAA National Board of Trustees.
D. ELIGIBILITY OF ENTRIES
1. The competition is open to all members of PRISAA and other qualification set by the PRISAA Technical Committee.
E. MEDALS & OTHER AWARDS
1. Medals
Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals shall be awarded to the top three (3) lifters who lifted the heaviest load in SNATCH, CLEAN & JERK and TOTAL for every category and every division.
2. Other Awards
Most Outstanding Lifter of the Year per division
Best Coach & etc.
Best in Snatch
Best in Clean & Jerk
Total Medals Needed: 120 Gold, 120 Silver and 120 Bronze (For Senior and Youth)
F. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS
All members of the technical officials shall be recommended by the Tournament Director and approved by the PRISAA National Executive Director. Designation and assignment of the Technical Officials shall be the responsibility of the Tournament Director who shall take care of the operation and management of the tournament. Juries and chief referees should be an IWF License Card holder.
G. COMPETITION UNIFORM
All participants must wear the required playing uniform during the competition. (Weightlifting Shoes / Sneakers and Weightlifting suit / cycling short)

Each team may enter a maximum of Ten (10) athletes plus two (2) reserves in the Men’s and Boy’s division spread over the different categories with a maximum of two (2) athletes per category.

I. GROUND RULES
Any unforeseen incident or situation not covered by the IWF Hand Book shall be dealt with accordingly in the following
manner.
1. Technical question shall be resolved in accordance with the PRISAA Ground Rules for every managed competition.
2. Cases of general in nature shall be resolve in accordance with the IWF rules.
3. There will be no drawing of lots. However, the weigh-in will be conducted in accordance the IWF rules.
4. All athletes that will compete on the same day will be weighed-in at once. The sequence of the weigh-in will be from lowest to highest weight category for those who will play for the particular day.
5. Athletes in the secondary level will be allowed to play in one higher weight category if they could not meet the weight requirement during the final weigh-in. This is not to disrupt the growth and development of the affected Athletes.
J. TECHNICAL MEETING
1. Technical Meeting of Team Managers, Coaches and Technical Officials will be held on the last day of the Refreshers Course – Seminar Workshop. The specific venue will be designated by the Host Region.
2. Any matter discussed and approved during the technical meeting regarding the conduct of the competition including the ground rules shall be final and executory.
3. The Tournament Director shall immediately inform all coaches and team managers concerned regarding any changes in schedule.
K. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS
The Tournament Director will be responsible in the assignment of necessary Technical Officials from the Juries down to the Table Officials and Loaders during the competition.
L. TECHNICAL ORGANIZATION
The PRISAA is responsible for the full control of the technical and management operation of the event.
